I spent the 20 first years of my life in Briancon,
which is a beautiful little town in the south of the French alps.
Next to Briancon is Serre-Chevalier
(see also [here])
which is my favorite resort for skiing and snowboarding.
I completed my education at Joseph
Fourier University, Grenoble (France):
-
"Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches", Joseph Fourier University,
Grenoble, France, 2001.
Dissertation Title: Modelling Data Evolution: from centralised databases
to resources accessible through the Internet (in French)
-
PhD in Computer Science, Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble,
France, 1988
Dissertation title: ETIC, a DMBS for Computer
Aided Design Applications (in French)
Supervisor: Michel Adiba
-
DEA d'Informatique (M.Sc. in Computer Science), Joseph Fourier University,
Grenoble, France, 1985.
-
Maîtrise MIAGE (B.Sc. in Computer Science Applied to Management),
University of Grenoble, France, 1984.
I spent two years in Sydney (Australia). I was visiting fellow at
the University of New South Wales,
more
precisely at the School
of Computer Science and Engineering.
Because Briancon was a bit far away from Australia, I'd adopted this country
as another play-ground. See:
- the Sydney Harbour (
here,
here
and also
here)
- Uluru in the Red Center (
here).
I returned to Australia pretty regularly. I used to be Visiting Professor at
Queensland University of Technology, in Brisbane and in Sydney.
