Study on Non-Textbased Information Retrieval - State of the Art - (ELPUB-106)

Goals of the study:

• 1) Critical evaluation of the research and the optimal approaches in the area of non-textbased IR. Institutions carrying out promising research in the specific field will be indentified.
• 2) Review of the recently discussed topics in the area of non-textual media with respect to their practical applicabiblity.
• 3) Formulation of recommendations for an integration of the state-of-the-art concepts and best procedures into the Information Engineering Initiative.
